zaza on his way out
|

Simone Zaza is in the stands as West Ham United face Liverpool, so he’s almost certain to go back to Juventus without the clause being activated.
The striker joined over the summer on a loan deal worth €5m with an option to buy for another €20m plus €3m in performance-related bonuses.
That option would become obligatory the moment Zaza made 14 competitive appearances for the Hammers.
However, as he has failed to score a single goal and is not settling into the Premier League, it looks as if the club has decided to cut its losses.
So far Zaza has nine appearances under his belt and the fact he’s not even on the bench against Liverpool this evening suggests his fate has been sealed.
A return to Serie A was considered likely, but Valencia and their Coach Cesare Prandelli are now emerging as the favourites.
The important thing is that if West Ham do not activate their clause, they can simply send him back to Juventus early and the Bianconeri will then have to find him a new club.
In Italy, Napoli and Milan are the candidates showing an interest in the 25-year-old.

I think the guy has a character issue - his problems are connected to attitude and self belief. He's too needy for us. We are totally the wrong team for him and probably the wrong league.

I've heard* that the club are desperate to suppress pictures of Mark Noble, who will do anything for West Ham, jumping up and down on Zaza's knee in a training ground incident.

From all the film clips i'd seen of him, it was clear that he was not a lone forward who would lead the line that we wanted. He likes to play in the hole behind a striker. He's not a natural finisher but would have a few assists in the right setup. He was wrong for us from the start.

Something's not right about all of this - he simply can't really be that bad.our set up really isolates the front man at the moment and I still think he'd do better in a front two, but he has genuinely looked at times like he's never seen a football before - it's really odd

Not good enough for West Ham. But Valencia, Milan and Napoli still want him. Just shows how tough the premier league is.

His Cameo performance as sub against Man Utd must have been the final nail in his coffin especially his shot that ended up nearer the halfway line than goal .
